    Hello friends,

In this early morning I'd like to upload my newest card for The Cutting Edge Challenge #15. Sadly, this is the first time I have ever participated and will be my last one due they are closing the challenge.

I have been getting so many inspiration looking at their design teams' creations for the past few months and for that I thank them very much.

Below is the creation of Amy Kolling for their last challenge HERE:

And this is my interpretation of her design:

To be honest I do not have any dies yet, so for the snow, I'm using aluminum tin foil from my daughter's milk can (a bit of recycling idea). I embossed it with snow embossing folder from Cuttlebug and then cut it manually and protect it with acrylic varnish. As for the colorful background, I'm using leather imitation rope and sequins. For the stamp, I'm using Kaiser Crafts Christmas set.

Thank you for visiting my blog and thanks for Cutting Edge Challenge!

    Materials:
    Bluish paper - personal collection
    Sentiment - Kaiser Crafts
Leather rope and sequins - Plumeria Crafts
Snow decoration - personal collection (aluminum tin foil from milk can)

    Hi friends,

Today I had wonderful time at the beach with my daughter and husband! Playing with sand and wave :) We're lucky that the beach is very close to our house so it doesn't take long time to get there. I wish that you also have a great weekend with your family :)

Now I want to post another Christmas card that I made using cork sheet. It's a very simple card, I only cut the cork sheet and arrange it like an x-mas tree. I enter this card for below challenge:

    Hello friends :)

I would like to share the christmas card that I made recently using cork sheet. I use kraft paper and splashed white acrylic paint for the background. I cut and stamped the cork sheet and glued it on a piece of scrap metallic gold paper. For decoration, I added small bow from a rattan rope.

I hope you like it :) and I enter this card for below challenge:

    Hello all,

I would like to upload one of my recent work. Mbak Dwita Crafty Crafts had held a challenge in her facebook to celebrate the World Card Making Day last October 2014. There were hundreds of crafters friends joined and I was so confused to vote the best one as they are all wonderful!! :)

Myself, I made a CAS card using leftover pumpkin seeds. Ofcourse, I washed and cleaned it before using :) I re-painted it with gesso and colored it with acrylic paint. Then I glued the seeds together to create frangipani flower. I stamped the card with Dew Drop Brilliance Galaxy Gold and Copper and finished it with Distress Ink Vintage Photo.

I really hope that the receiver will be happy to have this on their mail :) I also join this card for below challenge:

    Hello everyone,

Last week me and my friend joined another bazaar at Lottemart, Denpasar, Bali. It was held by BIWA for charity and the theme was BIWA X-mas Charity Bazaar. My friend and I shared one booth and since we didn't need large one so it was enough for both of us.

It was very hot day and we almost melted :P Glad we made some sales although not so big but at least we got back our rent stall money hehe.. I don't think people were interested to get out of their home as the sun really kills!! We kept on drinking water every few minutes coz if not, we'd probably end up at the hospital :P Here's some photos from the bazaar and I also got the chance to pack an order from my online customer :)

Thanks for reading my post! Take care :)

Hi all, how's your Sunday? Hope you really enjoy it!

Around two weeks ago I got a visit from Melissa, a good friend of mine who lives in Jakarta. She happened to attend her best friend wedding in Bali, so she and her husband was so kind to meet me at my house :) Melissa is very talented in card making and scrap booking and has been showing up in local television for crafts show.

And on that hot day afternoon we talked about a lot of things and exchanged goodies. She brought me goodies stamp out of Tilda in many designs!! They are so cute!!! I never have any Tilda before so this stamp out will be very useful for my personal projects. Thank you so much Melz and thank you for visiting my house :) hope someday we will meet again!!! :D

Thanks to you who read my post :) See ya!

Awww awww.. few months ago I got a surprise from my old friend, Mery...

One box of unwanted sewing notions, beads, jump rings etc.!!!! So one day, she called me and said that her friend was moving out and that she wanted to clean up her crafts desk. Awwww. what a great coincidence!! well, I absolutely agreed to have them :D

So Mery dropped the boxes to my home while I was outside. When I came back, I was surprised to find two boxes full of beads and sewing notions!! Awww, I called her and say thank you immediately :D I was so happy that I finally got the chance to learn how to make jewellery using all the stuff she gave me. Bless you and your friend, Mery! :)

Hi everyone, you might wonder what is SVN Bikes?

It's an online company owned by my husband. Other than his primary job as an IT Head in a villa, he also has his own trading company specialized in BMX bikes. He has been doing it part time for the past ten years. In the past one year, he made some changes and decided to use name SVN Bikes to replace the old name EconoBMX. And the different thing now is that I am taking part of managing it :) yep, some kind of a wife intervention hehe..

I didn't know much about BMX though but I must learn. Our customers come from all parts of Indonesia and as for the products are imported from USA. My husband has managed to become the authorized dealer in Indonesia for brand Fitbikeco and S & M.

We hope that by changing management and way of marketing, we can grow bigger and better. And a small step has been taken by cleaning up and displaying some of the products at our home.

Anyone interested can email me :)

    some of the products

    come in, please :)

Hi all :) Last month we finally finish the kitchen project! My house is very small and so we decided the best way to put a kitchen is at the backyard. We now also have a small storage rooms so we can clean up the room and move all the mess outside :D

And because I don't have a crafts room, so I decided to put all my crafts drawer exactly next to the kitchen. It's easy for me coz I don't have much crafts stuff and most of them are scrap papers or junks :D And everytime I need to create something, I still do it on the floor or now I can use the dining table hehe.. The good thing is my daughter loves this kitchen so much and so it's easier for me to look after her while crafting and cooking with my mom at the same time :D

Hi all, happy sunday morning :)

Last October I had to quit my job. So yes, now I'm jobless :P Well, my main reason is because I choose to take care of my family. Being a Personal Assistant to CEO for the past nine years was a great experience for me and I have learned a lot of things. However, when I was single, everything seemed so different and smooth. I didn't have to worry about coming home late or if I have to answer text message after work hours on late at night or did an easy task on weekends. But I guess I'm not the kind of a person who can manage time and attention between my work and my family.

Things got worst coz I couldn't find a nanny and so my generous mother have to live with me to take care of my daughter ever since she was born. Thus, I feel grateful but sorry for her at the same time. And so after a long consideration and discussion with my husband that I decided to resign from my job. It was so difficult and very sad because I had been working in that company for nine years and my colleagues are like my own family. But well, in the end we all have to make difficult choices in our lives, right? And myself, this is the toughest one :( However, I keep praying that I can find another way to get an income while staying at home and taking care of my family.

On my last day of working I couldn't barely look at my friends.
I was so sad and that they so kind to give me a simple farewell with cakes and a present! And yes, they had success in making me burst to tears :D I love each one of them and I really hope to be able to hang out with them again another time. Bye bye my friends, my desk, my computer, my files, my payroll day!! :D Thank you all so much for everything and I am gonna miss you a lot!

Wish me luck, friends, I really need that :)

my work agenda and I forgot where I kept the other two :P

A farewell cake from my lovely friends :)

Some of the farewell pics with my lovely friends :)

I am gonna miss you all so much ;(

Hi everyone, on last May, my sister and I joined a bazaar event which was held in Jakarta.

The event is called Jakarta Hobbyfest (Indo CHA) and was held in two days. It was almost like a gathering for all communities from cosplay, crafts, toys etc. There were many craft workshops but unfortunately I didn't take any of it coz I had to standby at my stall :) The great thing on joining this event was I had the opportunity to meet some friends whom I know from social media, took picture with senior crafters and owner of Smartyhand (a big company that provides imported crafts product mostly from Japan). I know some of them from Multiply website which had terminated few years ago.

It was really exciting, my sister and I really had fun and glad that we made good sales during the event! :) Maybe on my next event, I can meet you in person :D Ohh really looking forward to that! hehe.. well, take care!

    Hello everyone,

I would like to share my activities from several months ago :) My crafter friends had a mini gathering in Celcius Cafe at Centro Mall, Kuta. There were only four of us, myself, Ibu Inggrid, Mbak Jill rey, Ibu Linda and Mbak Morny. They are all seniors crafters and very talented.

They shared their knowledge on how to coloring with copic and making paper flowers. Ibu Inggrid is an expert in making paper flowers, Mbak Jill is so talented in coloring with distress ink, Mbak Morny is so brilliant in coloring using copic and Ibu Linda is very talented in cross stitch and she applied her works in form if bags or accessories!!! I was so lucky to be able to meet them all and I brought home two pretty colors of copic from Mbak Morny :D Thank you for your generosity mbak!! :)

Most of all, thank you for them all :) and thanks to you who read this post hehe..

Yes, I have been taking a drawing class for the past few weeks. My teacher, Mr Jeffri, is a professional artist specialty in oil painting. But he does all fine arts! His paintings are world class and so am very proud to be his student :)

I have been learning pencil drawing with him and the object is my baby daughter. To be honest, this is the real pencil drawing I have ever made in my life. I learned about shadowing, blending and outlining. My outlining is really worse and I must keep on learning and practicing.

    Here's the result:

So what do you think about my drawing? :)

    Cheers,
    Ika

Wow, it's almost more than one year I haven't touched my blog. Lots of things have happened in my life especially my marriage. Things that I want to forget forever and also things that I want to treasure. But well, whatever happen you just have to face it and then keep on walking and moving on and up :)

Now that I am back again and ready to share with you all things about crafts and life ofcourse :) Few months ago I made this simple card to warm up my mood in making cards. It was for the Gallery Idol Contest, although I didn't get to the next round but I'm glad to participate and to enjoy looking at gorgeous creations from around the globe.

Here's my card and the theme was Washi Tape.

    1. I made the flower from washi tape with quilling technique and add the stem using a leather cord. I used the same washi tape as the flowers on the bottom. Then I stamped a "hello" word and give sequins as a finishing touch.

          2.  Another card is made with similar washi tape as the above card. I multiplied the washi tape by cutting and arranging the strip one by one to make a gradation effect. As a finishing touch, I added sequins and a "hello" stamp.

Well, that's it. I will upload more later and hopefully from now I can be more active and continue on blogging and sharing my creations :)

    Cheers,
    Ika
