    Hello there friends,

Hope you are all in good health. It's been few weeks since the last time I checked in here hehe.. had been busy with my mother in law funeral as well as moving out to a new island and city.

Now that we have managed everything and slowly get back on our track again :) Today I just want to upload my newest watercolor painting to celebrate this year of World Watercolor Month July 2021. I am a total beginner and I really made so many mistakes and I'm sure your kids paint way better than me. Yet, I feel happy to share my learning process here with you :D

This is also my entry to join the 7 Days of Challenge Nautical Summer from my former teacher at Skillshare Ohn Mar Win. Oh I wish one day I can join her classes again, she was so transparent and informative, I love her teaching style!

So here is my creation. Please feel free to give positive suggestions which I can use to learn :)

Watch how I made it here:

    Stay healthy and stay safe!

     Hello friends,

Yesterday I uploaded my cards using dried Melon skin. I still have some of them so here's another card that I made :)

The background color was made by my daughter (8 yrs) using watercolor paint. In fact, I took it from her drawing book and put it on my card :D I gather all the melon skin and make a big flower shape. I added one small button and finish it with hand-drawing doodles. Very simple and easy! You too can make this at home with your kids :D

This is my entry on the following challenges:

    Hello friends,

Hope you are all in good health! Today I want to share another creation.

This is a simple card that I made using leftover wrapping paper and silver faux pendants on the center. The frame itself is made by cutting it out of an old card.

I always love the butterfly, especially it's this cute and small. The card itself is for all occasions as I don't give any specific sentiment. Although perhaps most of you would choose it for a wedding card really, you can give this to any of your family members, spouse or best friends. It's really a simple and an easy peasy card :)

This is my entry for the below challenges:

A Place to Start - Challenge #5 Anything Goes

Allsorts Challenge Blog - Week #626 Any Celebration (Not Birthday)

Creative Moments - Challenge #215 Anything Goes

Thank you so much for stopping by! Take care :)

     Hello friends,

I hope you are doing well and in good health. As we are all aware that this pandemic situation has changed most of our lives completely. Some of us have lost their loved ones due to the virus, others lost their income and jobs (this happens to me too :) and sadly none of us know when this bad condition will be over.

However, although this is a very tough situation for all of us, it is very important to keep our spirit and fill our minds with positive thoughts. I'm making this black card using recycled paper with florals patterns and put a sentiment sticker with a word "Smile". Simply I just want to say that even in the dark moments, we must not lose hopes. Thus, hopefully will give us the strength to carry on with our lives no matter how bad the situation is right now.

I submit my cards to below challenge blogs:

The Paper Funday Challenge - Challenge #29 Anything Goes with Twist Flower / Floral

The Creative Crafter - Challenge #40 Anything Goes

Creative Fingers - Challenge #208 Anything Goes

May God will protect us and hopefully things will get better soon. Amen.

Thank you for reading my post and Sending you virtual warm hugs :)

    Hello friends,

Today I want to post a card that I made using left over card stock (again) :D I'm sorry I just don't wanna waste the paper coz it's so lovely! I think this is is fit for wedding card or for couple anniversary etc.

This is very clean and simple (always) hehe.. I do not put any embellishment as I only did hand written sentiment using pen marker and a copic marker. So this is very very easy to make :)

I would like to use this card for my entry on below challenge:

    Hi friends,

How are you? Wow, I really missed my blog.
I've been busy with few events which I will write later :P Well, I do hope you are doing great and enjoying your day :)

Today I'm going to upload my simple creation to join challenge in my facebook group. The group is called "HandicraftQta"managed by talented Indonesian women and this is my first time joining their challenge :)

The theme for this time is White and Red in order to celebrate 70th years of Independence Day of our country on 17th August 2015. So, here's my creation:

Red and white cards and pair of earrings all are made of paper using "Gunungan" image that I created few years ago

Pair of paper earrings. I printed out the Gunungan image and then add Mod Podge Dimensional Magic to make the earrings wearable and waterproof.

I created this Gunungan image on 2012 and at last I got the chance to use it this year :) Check out the details on my old post here. I draw images like fish, ocean, trees, flowers etc. to describe how rich our country is and praying that God will always unite and shower us with lots of love and courage. So that we always remember His blessing and take really good care of it.

I made this font using Photoshop program and I also made this heart image and color it using Chameleon Pen (I'm telling you, this is the hardest part, the result is far from what I expected, but well, I'm still learning using it and will try with different image next time! :P)

So that's it for now, I hope I can win this time hehe.. If not, then it's okay, I'm glad that I can join and compete with other amazing women!! And..  I'll write more post later okay.. :)

Thank you for reading and See you soon!

    Hello friends!

    Hope you're doing well.
For the past few days, I've been making simple packaging for my bracelets.
I'm using scissors, krafts paper, twill tape, magnets, double tape foam and cloth. I make pocket cloth to keep the bracelet and also to reduce plastic usage.

    Below is the result:

Use A4 size kraft paper, measure the space for the bracelets.
Score the paper depending on the size of the packaging you need. Make sure that it covers the height of the bracelets too. Cut the excess on every sides of the papers and form the edges as desired.
I put the bracelets inside a cloth pocket.
Then close the package by folding each side carefully.

I printed a label and stick it on front of the package using double tape foam. Measure and cut the twill tape, glue it on the back and pull it to the front. Stick small piece of magnetic sheet on the edge of the twill tape. The magnet on top side is longer than the one below, it's made so it can still move depending on the bracelets thickness. Glue the excess of twill tape on the edge so it won't messy.

Slip the twill tape beneath the label so magnets on the edges can meet to secure the package.

Voila, the package is done and my bracelets are ready to be shipped! :)

Thank you very much for taking your time in reading my post!

    Have a great weekend all!

    Hello friends,

Hope you all had a wonderful day today whether at work or at home!
Last weekend, I had lovely time with my baby daughter. In one morning she woke up and then said to me that she wanted to go to school :) Well, I wish I could send her to school but since this poor 2-year-old girl cannot go anywhere and stuck with her mom, so I asked her to play alphabet hehe..

So then together we made alphabet banner to put in her bedroom :) I'm glad that she loves making it and really enjoying the process.

The alphabet banner is very simple and easy to make. I only cut the felt using scissor to make the flags and the alphabet. Hand sew the flag and insert the rope to hang it on the wall.

Thank you for your visit and take care! :)

    Hugs, Ika

    Hi friends,

This month is about storing my crafts stuff by using any kind of storage that I have. As you know, my crafts room is not fancy and I promise to keep all my crafts stuff as tidy as I can but with very tiny small budget and the most important thing is to be able to find what I need as quickly and as easy as possible :P

So, I finally have a storage for my ribbons at least for now until I can purchase the best one :) I'm using a SPICE RACK. Well, since I don't use this rack so I think it's best for me to use it as ribbon holder. And the good thing is that is has something like a small bars where I can slip each ribbons into it, and just pull it off whenever I need it. Ofcourse I still have to use my two hands to keep it in place so it doesn't fall out when I pull it. And I think it is also best if you can put a spacer for each ribbons so it doesn't pull off one another OR you can install a small stick to hold the ribbons.

As for my findings.. I have some findings, buttons etc. I decide to use CARTRIDGE STORAGE. I have been collecting this for months which I got from my previous office :) These are cartridge storage from Canon printer. It has small space that fits for small findings.. you can also paint them if you want but I prefer to keep it white. I put them in one container and since it has same sizes I can fill them in one container and put another container on top. The best thing is I can easily get it using my fingers or tweezers would be great too.

And lastly that all of you already know, is I'm using TAPE HOLDER to store my findings too. You can paint it or cover them in paper so it looks more attractive but for me, I just leave them as it is so I can write my finding codes on it and maybe later when I'm in the mood, I will decorate it :)

That's all and I'm off for a little trip to Ubud now with my family.
Have a great weekend everyone! :)

    Hello friends,

Hope you're doing fine! Well, you know how much I love to recycle :D So on this lovely morning, I just like to upload my ideas on turning a small envelope into a big envelopes :) Yep, it's very simple hehe.. This is actually very useful for me to press my expense on purchasing big envelopes. Therefore, I have been collecting small envelopes which I got from my friends or families, this way I can also recycle them but still use its function as envelopes :)

    BEFORE

     AFTER

I made big envelopes by breaking all small envelopes and use their blank part on the inside. Attached and glued them one by one, depending on how big I want them to be. Making some cut as needed and voila, I got a big envelope hehe.. Ofcourse I can draw this blank parts but I leave it blank so it is easy for me to write down the address. These envelopes are very useful for me if I have to pack big documents.

You can try this at home too to safe expenses :)
    Happy Weekend!

    Hello all,

I would like to upload one of my recent work. Mbak Dwita Crafty Crafts had held a challenge in her facebook to celebrate the World Card Making Day last October 2014. There were hundreds of crafters friends joined and I was so confused to vote the best one as they are all wonderful!! :)

Myself, I made a CAS card using leftover pumpkin seeds. Ofcourse, I washed and cleaned it before using :) I re-painted it with gesso and colored it with acrylic paint. Then I glued the seeds together to create frangipani flower. I stamped the card with Dew Drop Brilliance Galaxy Gold and Copper and finished it with Distress Ink Vintage Photo.

I really hope that the receiver will be happy to have this on their mail :) I also join this card for below challenge:

    Hello Everyone!!

It's been long time since the last time I updated my blog.. I've been busy at work and at home enjoying motherhood hehe.. And I have to postpone my drawing hobby since my pen tip tablet is broken.. so must save some money before I can get the new one :P

Also I'm so sorry that I had missed Easter Day, although I know it's too very late but I wish you had a great day celebrating the Easter with all of your family and friends!

Well, today I cannot write much, just want to upload one of my latest creations which I made months ago :P I have so many leftover papers and I decided to make crib toys for my baby daughter. It's very simple and easy to make.. good for those who love budget friendly toys hehe.. Actually you can make it out of material such as felt or cloth, but for me I love using leftover paper :) One thing that I really enjoy is that my baby loves it very much and that is the most important thing for me hehe..

Ok, this is all for now, if you'd like to see the tutorial, you can find it HERE.

Take care everyone and enjoy your crafting day!! :)

Hello Everyone! I hope you're all enjoying your weekend :)

This week, I'm making a very easy book marker. The only reason I have is to reuse left over acetate/plastic from cotton packaging. I've been using cotton for cosmetic although not so often. But then, since I have a baby I've been purchasing cosmetic cotton for few packs every month. So, the result is that I'm getting so many acetate junks from the cotton packaging which I'm happy with it :)

You can find an acetate/plastic on top and on the bottom of the packaging to hold the cotton. And luckily, they're clean, strong and with perfect cut :) Now I have so many of them, I can use them for my paper crafts project, cards etc. I will share with you if I make other projects using this plastic.

Today, I'm just making a book marker from the acetate using some rub-on which I bought few years ago. You can find the tutorial HERE. I don't find rub-on anymore here, not in a book store or local crafts store! It's so sad actually!! Rub-on is so helpful and very useful especially if you need quick and easy project and the great thing is that it's clean and no mess!! :) I love rub-on and here we call it rugos :) I found these rub-on in a local book store at my hubby's village which is in another island :P I am so sad to find them piled up among other accessories. And it's so clear that not many people even look or touch it!! That's why I chose some images and bought them right away!! It feels like having a reunion with an old friend :) I left the store with a very happy feeling but also sad, I wish I could see that rub-on again!

I'm entering this book marker on the following challenge:

    Hello everyone!

It's been raining here and cold since last night.. I didn't sleep much and was spending the night chatting with my sister. Yes, we try to keep connecting as often as we can :)

I am now enjoying the rainy morning so it's best for me to upload my handmade post card. It's been quite long time for me not to create cards etc. So this is almost like a warm up or my first creation on the beginning of this year! I made this post card mostly from my scrap papers.. The paper is a wrapping paper of my previous hotel company where I used to work almost 10 years ago and I still keep until now :P  I made the sentiment from computer. For a final touch, I only add a little wood button accessories from Plumeria Crafts
and using hay as the ribbon :) I draw the back of the post card by hand using Prisma Color Pencils (Sepia).

I'm entering this post card on the following challenges:

Finallyyyy, I am connected to the internet!!! Ahhhh Gosh what a week it has been! I'm so sorry that I'm so late in uploading the challenge again.. having been disconnected from the internet is really frustratring. I have changed my modem and i hope that this kind of disconnecting will be history but let's see if the provider can cooperate too, if not, then i just don't know what to do coz i have tried so many different kinds of internet provider and the results are still far from satisfying :P

Anyway, today is not about my internet :P I'd like to upload AIF new challenge which has been running since Sept 9th and will end by Sept 22nd. Since AIF now has moved to a new location so therefore please notice that there has been some changes on the rules and regulations too. However, it does not lose any fun and you can still winning prizes! I'm telling you, the prizes are soooo delicious :) The theme is BACK TO SCHOOL/TEACHER and am using Ella Teacher's image.

As for my self, on this challenge, I'm making a paper bag and a paper clip with Ella's image. I love working with Ella coz she's just sooo cute!

I printed out Ella on a paper then cut it into elipse pattern then colored with Prisma coloring pencil, after that I glued Ella on a clip paper, thus it can be used to clip the paper bag and also you can use it as a bookmark :) I made the paper bag out of A4 size recycled paper (coz I don't have big sizes paper), I made the flower by cutting an orange color paper then put a black draing paper so it will look a bit like sunflower :) then I handwritten the sentiment with Prisma coloring pencil, my aim is to make it like writing on a blackboard at school (reminds me of my childhood :)
Well, that's it from me, I hope you all can join the challenge as you still have many times to submit your project! Go to the new site here at >>> AI Factory <<< to enter your project!

    I'll see you around, okay!!
Take care and bye for now :)

Hey there! hope things are doing well with you today! well, it's already the second week of August.. how time flies by so fast. I have been very busy at work and home.. but no matter what happen in my life I'm still trying to keep my spirit high in making cards :)

Now I'm sorry for my lateness again in uploading the challenge but  I'm happy to share a great news from AI Factory that this month is we're having a long challenge! This is due to they are updating their new sites with lots of exciting stuff, so stay tune to get the update! Meanwhile, the theme for this month's challenge is "Anything Goes". I'm using the above Up Up and Away Air Balloon image from AI Factory but not using it for a card this time, instead, I am making a refrigerator magnet. I printed out the image on a magnet sheet and colored it. Unfortunately the paper sheet is a bit glossy on the surface so I can only color it with coloring pens.

~ Up up away image - AI Factory, Magnetic paper - Caramel Crafts, Sentiment - my personal collection,
    Coloring - Faber-Castell Coloring Pen ~

You can find the freebies from AI Factory that you can use here. As I have mentioned above this is a long challenge, so you will have time until September 1st to submit your project here. Don't forget to check out other fabulous creations from the DT. And sadly we have to say farewell to some of DT who are leaving us. Scrappy, Lisa, Jan, Monica, Kelly & Mandy! We'll miss you and wish you all very best of luck in your future endeavors! Thank you for sharing your creativity with us!

Thank you all for reading my post :)

    HI Everyone,

Hope you're enjoying your weekend :) Mine is gonna be ended within few hours. I must say that this has been really exhausting weekend for me! I managed to clean all the mess at my house :P and found  stacks of scraps papers that I compiled with deep intention to use them all someday :P Well, I then took the time to use it at least for one project. So I ended up choosing label papers scraps. You see, when I made wedding invitations, I printed out the address of receivers on sticker label papers and I have many of them that were rejected because the results of the printing was bad or wrong. And as always, I didn't have the heart to throw them away as I can still use the back of the paper to write notes or even to make a sketch.

Then I decided to make a notebook out of these scraps sticker label papers for my weekend project :P as I didn't have much time to make it so I took a simple way by using the Microsoft Word program :) And below is the result.  The clipart and border are available on the word program and I put a sentiment from one of my quotes collections.

You can find a very easy and very simple tutorial to create the notes book cover on this link. A big thank you to Asma (AI Factory) who had requested me to make a tutorial! It's a great honor, dear! :) Oh, make sure you also check out other tutorials on AI Factory Graphic Blog, there are so many of them :)

Sooo, back to these sticker label papers, next time if you have them, don't throw away, you can recycle them by using the back of the papers again as writing pad or sketch paper :) Okay, I'm off to bed now! Coz am so sleepy and my note book has filled with many things to do for the next six days hehe.. yeah, at least I have got something to do although my hands are soo tired :P

Thank you for reading all and see you soon! :)
    Warmest Hugs
