     Hello friends,

I hope you are doing well and in good health. As we are all aware that this pandemic situation has changed most of our lives completely. Some of us have lost their loved ones due to the virus, others lost their income and jobs (this happens to me too :) and sadly none of us know when this bad condition will be over.

However, although this is a very tough situation for all of us, it is very important to keep our spirit and fill our minds with positive thoughts. I'm making this black card using recycled paper with florals patterns and put a sentiment sticker with a word "Smile". Simply I just want to say that even in the dark moments, we must not lose hopes. Thus, hopefully will give us the strength to carry on with our lives no matter how bad the situation is right now.

I submit my cards to below challenge blogs:

The Paper Funday Challenge - Challenge #29 Anything Goes with Twist Flower / Floral

The Creative Crafter - Challenge #40 Anything Goes

Creative Fingers - Challenge #208 Anything Goes

May God will protect us and hopefully things will get better soon. Amen.

Thank you for reading my post and Sending you virtual warm hugs :)

    Love,
    Ika

    Hello friends,

I'm sure many of you crafters out there are must have piles of leftover papers :) That includes myself too ahaha.. As we know, most of the time they are very useful, correct? :D  Just like the cards that I'm posting today, I used leftover pattern papers. I don't like to throw them away because the colours and patterns are so lovely.

I don't put any embellishment 'coz I think the pattern already stand out so you can focus on admiring the beauty of each one of them :) You can use this card for any occasions.

    Hello friends,

Today I want to post a card that I made using left over card stock (again) :D I'm sorry I just don't wanna waste the paper coz it's so lovely! I think this is is fit for wedding card or for couple anniversary etc.

This is very clean and simple (always) hehe.. I do not put any embellishment as I only did hand written sentiment using pen marker and a copic marker. So this is very very easy to make :)

I would like to use this card for my entry on below challenge:

    Hellooo,

Hope everyone is in good health!
Today I want to upload one of my card with "cold" theme.

I know this is not winter time.. But the reason I made this card simply because I found these dry pine leaf just laying on my drawer for years :D Then I put them all on a blank white card stock. I thought it would looked good with white background. So I decided to colour the leaves using Posca marker and put some dots on the card which made it looked like snow :D

I put a lyric from a song (which I googled :D) which I thought would fit in with the card theme. Well, it's so simple design but I think I like the result though hahahah..

Anyway, this is my entry for below challenges:

    Hellooo peeps :)

Today I want to upload my new handmade greeting card. Another simple style, of course, hehe...

I made an envelope inspired by the CAS Challenge this week, and I used a pink color inspired by the Card Concept Challenge (below is the photo and link to the challenge).

Just so you know, I made the envelope out of my remaining tea bag, which had been dyed with food coloring. Instead of throwing it away, I just use it for my craft projects. As for the sentiment and the insert message, I only use my handwriting and draw simple doodles. That's all :)

Color inspiration from the Card Concept Challenge

So the above card I made is for my entry at the below challenges:

    Hey peeps :)

I'm uploading another greeting card and this is more inspired by the photo from Inkspirational challenge.

I'm using black paper card and buttons for embellishment. I arranged the buttons into a Cassiopeia constellation which symbolised the beauty of they sky (for me it means the beauty of the person who receives this card) :)

Then I added a simple hand written words "You are a Star" using a white gel pen. Lastly I created a simple background with only small dots to represents the stars and so the card will not look plain as well.

It's very simple and quick card that you can make at home too.

This is my entry for below challenges:

    Hello friends!

Sun is shinning and birds are singing, It's June!
Well, I hope your weekend is as fresh as summer breeze! :)

Today, I'm going to upload a birthday greeting card with vintage theme. But since I don't have any kind of stamping tools for this style, so it's very challenging for me. Instead of using regular stamp, I decided to go digital and make my own line art (from my own photo). I created it using Adobe Photoshop and I put vintage fonts and sentiments from the internet.
So it's a vintage card with a digital touch :P
    Below is the result:

The result of my photo that I converted to line art

I took the vintage font from Font Space and got the sentiment from Wishes Quotes. I created the line art, vintage frame and sentiments in Adobe Photoshop. I printed them all and reprint the birthday sentiment on the back side of the craft paper then cut it manually and put it using foam tape.

This is my original photo that I converted to line art

    Hello friends,

Today, I created a very simple card using only sentiment that I made myself. When I heard a word story, so many things came up in my mind.. fairytale, success story, career story etc., but one thing that is really linger is of course.. a love story :) However, since I don't have a stamp that can represent my idea, so I decided to create one and used it as an image for the focal point.

To make it a bit romantic, I add a butterfly stamp from a stamp maker company (I got this years ago and this is the first time I've ever used it) and colored it with Prisma Coloring Pencil. I hand drawn the dots on the card to frame the sentiment with Staedler brown color pen.

I created the sentiments using Stampendous (Happy Messages) for the word "You" and Kaiser Crafts (Christmas Sentiment) for the word "Love" and the "line" image (which I used to give impression of stack of papers). As for other alphabet, I'm using non branded Alphabet Stamp from local book store. I add sequins to give the card a bit of light :)

I enter this card for the following challenge:

    Hi friends,

I made another cards to join in two great challenges.
My card theme is get well soon with simple and clean design.

I used white and black card stock from drawing paper. I created the simple and easy-to-make roses from paper, just cut them in circle and roll it starting from the edge then stick it to the base with white glue. I created the background using black drawing paper, colored it with Simbalion pastel color and attached it to a white card stock. I wrote  the sentiment on computer and then printed it on vellum, glue it on a tiny paper and attached it on the card. For finishing touch, I added some sequins just to make it more alive :)

    Hello friends!

Hope you had wonderful weekend holiday with your family and get more energy to start your weekday activities tomorrow! :)

I managed to make some cards this weekend and here's one of them:

It's very clean and simple card. I used white card stock and put a wedding ring sticker which I got from my lovely cousin and then stamped it using Brilliant Dew Drop Ink Galaxy Gold with sentiment on it from KaiserKraft "Being together is the best gift of all". Well, even though the stamp is from Christmas theme collection, I use it coz the meaning of the words is quite universal to me.

I made this card to join the following challenge:

    Hello friends,

I'd like to share my newest greeting card.. for you.. yes, you my friend!... coz you've come here and spend your valuable time to visit and read my post.. so thank you and you're the best!! :)

On this card, I'm using my >> DIY Stencil from plastic snack pack << which is also another way for me to recycle the plastic. I have to tell you that the stencil really does work!! Well, I'm sure it stays long until I can afford the proper one :)

So for details, I created and printed out the sentiment on vellum paper and then stick it on a masking paper tape. I made flower from cork sheet and cut it manually, I created the background using the plastic stencil tool and color it with dew drop ink (olive color), give small pearls on the flowers, leather twine and added some sequins for the finishing touch :)

    Hello friends,

I'd like to upload my newest greeting card today and to join in some challenges. This time I made a very simple birthday greeting card with a slider. The idea is like giving a present to someone and let her/him open it :) well, something like that I guess hehe.. anyway, here's the card:

This is how I made it:

First decide the size of your gift box and how you want the slider look. Myself, I made the frame and hide the gift box by making small frame that fits for the ribbon to slide.
I measure and cut it manually with cutter.

Then make the gift box in square, colored it with water color and wrap it with ribbon embellishment which I made from fabric tape. Make sure that the size of the box is a bit bigger than the frame so it gives a tiny space to move.

Then, make the card primary base. Cut paper in rectangle form for the slider. The rectangle must have a space fit the gift box to move left and right.  On the rectangle paper, I hand draw a simple high heel stamp as the gift (this one is special for my friend Mbak Monika who loves shoes stamp and whom having a Birthday Linky Party on her blog HERE :) I created the image using a black Snowman drawing pen 0.2 and colored it with Staedler pen and Copic for the shadows.

Fold the edges of the rectangle paper. Make sure to fold and leave a space about 0,5 mm on each side so that the gift box can move to slide. When you're done, put double sided tape on each side then insert the gift box inside and test the slider by moving it left and right.

Once you have insert the gift box, attached it to the card by turning it upside down and adjust it with the frame you made previously. Make sure that the double tape stick properly.

I hand drawn dots and small arrows with pen so the receiver can slide and open the gift box :) Oh, I forgot, before attaching the gift box, make sure to stamp the sentiment first to avoid messy result.

I decorate the bottom card with similar washi tape as the gift box.

Voila, finish and you get a very easy and simple greeting card with slider :)

Hope this is useful for you and thank you for reading my post!
Have a great weekend everyone! :)

    Hello friends,

In this early morning I'd like to upload my newest card for The Cutting Edge Challenge #15. Sadly, this is the first time I have ever participated and will be my last one due they are closing the challenge.

I have been getting so many inspiration looking at their design teams' creations for the past few months and for that I thank them very much.

Below is the creation of Amy Kolling for their last challenge HERE:

And this is my interpretation of her design:

To be honest I do not have any dies yet, so for the snow, I'm using aluminum tin foil from my daughter's milk can (a bit of recycling idea). I embossed it with snow embossing folder from Cuttlebug and then cut it manually and protect it with acrylic varnish. As for the colorful background, I'm using leather imitation rope and sequins. For the stamp, I'm using Kaiser Crafts Christmas set.

Thank you for visiting my blog and thanks for Cutting Edge Challenge!

    Materials:
    Bluish paper - personal collection
    Sentiment - Kaiser Crafts
Leather rope and sequins - Plumeria Crafts
Snow decoration - personal collection (aluminum tin foil from milk can)
